Distinguished Prof, Ctr Mol & Behav Neurosci, Rutgers Univ, NJ (2014-). He published over 130 scientific papers and co-editor of two text books. He held more than 95 invited lectures, served on various international and federal advisory boards and chaired & organized numerous symposia in the USA, Australia and in Hungary. He advised more than 50 Undergraduate, Graduate Students and Postdoctoral Fellows. He is Founding Editor-in-Chief, Brain Structure and Function (www.springer.com/429). He was elected foreign member of HAS (2007). He is Past President of the New York Hungarian Scientific Society (nymtt.org) and served as Chairman of the Rutgers-Newark Faculty Council (2016/2017). He is recipient of the Arany Janos Award (HAS, 2013), the Knight’s Cross of Order of Merit of Hungary and the Board of Trustees Award for Research Excellence (Rutgers University, 2016).

He has made important contribution through his pioneering efforts to understand the functional organization of the basal forebrain.
