Dr. Tawfik was elected in 2012 as fellow of The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) and currently serves as a council member representing the Arab World. Parallel to this international engagement, he is the founder director of the Egyptian Center for Theoretical Physics (ECTP) and the founder director of the World Laboratory for Cosmology And Particle Physics (WLCAPP). He is also appointed as professor of physics at the Modern University for Technology and Information (MTI) in Cairo and member of the Network Nuclear Sciences (NNS) of the Egyptian Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT). Dr. Tawfik has obtained in 2012 the highest doctorate degree in science, "Doctor of Science in Physics and Mathematics" at the Uzbekistan National University and Dr.rer.Nat (Ph.D) in High-Energy Physics at the Philipps Universität zu Marburg, Germany in 1999. Dr.Sc. Dr. Tawfik is fully engaged in the scientific research; team leader of a group of scientists joining the STAR experiment at RHIC (USA), team leader of another group of physicists working for CBM-Experiment at FAIR (Germany) and team leader of a third group of physicists working for the MPD-experiments at NICA at JINR (Russia). So far, he published three titles and more than 160 scientific papers.
