Nthabiseng Taole is currently Director: Research & Innovation at the University of Pretoria providing strategic management, implementing programmes focused on enhancing research productivity and innovation, and enhancing internationalization initiatives of the University. Prior to this, she was Director: Centres of Excellence at the National Research Foundation (NRF) where she provided strategic direction and managed the DST-NRF Centres of Excellence. She's also been Policy Advisory Programme Manager at the Academy of Science of South Africa (ASSAf).

Before joining the Academy, she worked as ICT Advocacy Manager at the Southern African NGO Network (SANGONeT) and as a systems manager at the National University of Lesotho Library. She is a panelist for the Women in Science Awards (WISA) and the National Science & Technology Forum (NSTF) Awards. She has also served as a steering committee member in a number of DST-NRF Centres of Excellence. Nthabiseng has previously coordinated various ICT project teams in the southern African region. She holds a PhD in Information Science from the University of Pretoria.
