MRS. HAJARA YAHAYA TANKO, DIRECTOR (PLANNING AND POLICY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT), RAW MATERIALS RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL (RMRDC), ABUJA, NIGERIA

Born 24th October, 1964, Mrs. Hajara Yahaya Tanko holds a B.Sc. Degree in Chemistry (1986) and MSc. in Pharmacognosy (2011) from Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, Nigeria. She  joined the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) in 1991 after a very rewarding career as a Water Chemist/Bacteriologist at the Kaduna State Water Board. She was the Project Manager of a World Bank project on Sustainable Production of Tropical Fruits for Fruit Juice Concentrate and Allied Products in Nigeria in 2013. She was the Deputy Director (Planning and International Collaboration Division). Mrs. Tanko was the immediate past Director (Cluster Development Department) and presently the Director (Planning and Policy Development Department).

She is a member of professional bodies which include: The Competitiveness Institute (TCI); American Society of Pharmacognosy (ASP); International Master Certification on Project Management (MPM); American Chemical Society (ACS); Institute of Chartered Chemists of Nigeria (ICCON); and Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN). Mrs. Tanko is a fast learner and a team builder. She is happily married with five children.
