Kalulu Taba is a  professor of chemistry at the University of Kinshasa, D.R. Congo. He earned his MSc (1976) and Ph.D. ( 1979) at Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois (USA).

He carried research in various capacity at the University of Michigan (USA), the Max Planck Institute fuer Kohlenforschung ( Germany), CNRS (France), Duke University (USA) and at the Institute of Tropical Medicine (Belgium).

His research works on natural products ffocus on antimalarial plant recipes, plant dyes in solar water desinfection and biofuel from local plant seeds.

He is member of a committee in charge of setting up the Academy of Sciences of the D.R. Congo and editor-in chief of Congo Sciences, a scientific online journal.
