Joined The Royal Scientific Society (RSS) in 1991 as a fresh Graduate, with a B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Jordan, Eng. Bassam Taan worked as a design engineer for mechanical systems in buildings including HVAC systems, water and sewage network systems.

Several mechanical Jordanian Building Codes and Manuals Guidelines were prepared and developed by Eng. Bassam, also he worked as a mechanical supervisor engineer for construction projects, in addition to his work in the field of calibration.

During his work he conducted several research projects, and assumed several positions such as Head of Maintenance Division, Director of the Administrative Department, Director of the Facilities Management and General Services Department.

In his current capacity as the Vice-President for Operations, Eng. Bassam is overseeing the HR Department, The Finance Department, the Facilities Management and General Services Department and Health Safety and Environment Work Department, and he is heading the Tender’s Committee at the RSS.
