Brigita Serafinaviciute is the Head of the Lithuanian RDI Liaison Office in Brussels (LINO) run as a part of the Research Council of Lithuania. She holds a PhD in Ecology and Environmental Science. 2016-2017 she was the Head of the Research Management Office at Vilnius University. She is also appointed Lithuanian delegate at the Horizon 2020 Programme Committee for ‘Climate action, environment, resource efficiency and raw materials’. Before this appointment Brigita was a member of FP7 committee for specific programme ‘People’. 2008-2015 she was a Board Member of the Research Council of Lithuania acting as Scientific Secretary of the Council. She was also involved in the FP7 project PASTEUR4OA (Open Access Policy Alignment Strategies for European Union Research). 2009-2015 she was a member of the Council of Higher Education at the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania. Her interest in research policy began in 2003 when she joined the Lithuanian Society of Young Researchers. In 2006 she was a chair of this organisation and later became a Board Member of Eurodoc - the European Council of Doctoral Candidates and Junior Researchers. In 2007 as a Eurodoc delegate she worked at the Expert Group ‘Realising a single labour market for researchers’ set up by DG Research of the European Commission.
