I am a clinical researcher and psychiatrist. My goal is to develop non-invasive brain stimulation therapies for mental illness, particularly in depression. I work at the University of São Paulo, Brazil and I am currently a Humboldt Fellow visiting professot at LMU Munich, Germany. I am a recognized world specialist in the use of transcranial direct current stimulation for depression, with publications in prestigious journals such as the New England Journal of Medicine and JAMA Psychiatry.
