Dr. Majeda OMAR (BSc, Dip Phil, MA, MSc, PhD)

Dr. Majeda was educated at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, where she obtained her MSc. by Research and Ph.D. Degrees in philosophy. She holds an M. A. in Philosophy and a Diploma in Philosophical Studies from The University of Jordan, Jordan. She graduated with a B.Sc. in Mathematics from Yarmouk University, Irbid, Jordan.

She is an Associate Professor of Contemporary Western Philosophy at the Department of Philosophy, The University of Jordan.

She is now the Director of The Royal Institute for Inter-Faith Studies and worked as a Senior Researcher at Majlis El Hassan, (His Royal Highness Prince El Hassan bin Talal Offices), Royal Hashemite Court, Jordan.

Her current research areas include pragmatism, metaphysics, history and philosophy of science and philosophy of religion.
