Lara is an environmental scientist joining the WANA institute as a Senior Researcher leading the Sustainable Development Pillar.  With over 9 years of experience in working with international organisations and NGOs, Lara holds an MSc in Environmental Management of Urban Land and Water from the University of Sheffield in the UK and has an environmental BSc background from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon.

Lara has also previously worked local community sustainable development with the International Union for Conservation of Nature – Regional Office for West Asia, UNDP and GEF. At the IUCN, she worked on water, climate change resilience and adaptation, land degradation and desertification. She has also worked on environmental communications both regionally and internationally.
