Dr Aman Kumar Maulloo is presently the Director of the Rajiv Gandhi Science Centre since June 2007. His academic expertise is in Operational Research with an MSc from the University of Delhi and a PhD from the University of Cambridge, UK. Prior to joining the Rajiv Gandhi Science Centre he was an academic in the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, University of Mauritius from 1993 to 2007, when he resigned as Head of Department and Senior Lecturer. He led in the setting up of the first Multidisciplinary Centre of Excellence in Transport which was successful at national level. He became the Chairman of the Road Transport Advisory Board to Government from 2005 to 2011. At the Rajiv Gandhi Science Centre he is leaving no stone unturned to promote Science and technology to all segments of the population by developing custom-made activities and encouraging hands-on science. Dr Maulloo has a number of publications in high impact Journals and has edited a book entitled “Enhancing Change Through Science Centres in 2009”. His presently doing research on the STEM curriculum in Mauritius to advise the Minister on the way forward.
