Bassam Malkawi is Professor of surveying and geomatics Engineering. He received his B.S. degree in surveying engineering at the school of engineering “ENSG”, Paris, France, 1982.; his M.S. degree in Applied geophysics and geodesy at Pierre and Marie Curie university, Paris, France, 1983 as well as his Ph.D. degree in surveying at Pierre and Marie Curie University, Paris,France,1986.   Professor Malkawi started his academic career as an assistant professor at the Department of Civil Engineering at Jordan University in 1987, and he held several administrative and academic positions at a number of Jordanian Universities ever since.

Profesor Malkawi's intellectual contributions in the fields of civil engineering, focusing on surveying, deformation measurements, geodesy, Geographic Information Systems. He has written over fifty articles published in peer-reviewed journals in U.S., U.K
