Jasmina Havranek, Professor, PhD was born in Zagreb, where she finished primary school and gymnasium, graduated and obtained a doctorate at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Zagreb. In 2001 she was elected tenured full professor at the same university.

In the period 2003 – 2005, Professor Havranek was a President of the National Council for Higher Education of the Republic of Croatia, and in 2007 was appointed a Head of the Croatian Agency for Science and Higher Education.

Professor Jasmina Havranek participated at numerous national and international conferences that covered topics of higher education and science, and was an invited lecturer at several of them:
