In early 2012, Ashwin joined QS Quacquarelli Symonds, making Singapore his new home. Ashwin is responsible for Middle East, North Africa and India operations of QS. He works closely with universities in the region in order to understand their current and future plans and help them optimise their resources.

He is also responsible for liaising with governmental and public agencies in these regions to create a strong affiliation with QS, which would help in better understanding the local institutions and help them promote their country as a whole.

In the course of his work, he has met with senior leaders from the region, including His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE; His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, former Minister of Higher Education in UAE; Honourable Pranab Mukherjee, President of India, Prakash Javadekar, Minister of Human Resource Development of India; amongst a few.

Ashwin is currently pursuing his PhD on the topic of branding and academic reputation in university rankings. He has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing degree along with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. Ashwin has visited universities in over 30 countries and has a deep understanding of the working of many universities. He has lived in 4 countries and travelled to numerous ones for business and leisure.
