Mohamed El-Faham is Scientific Advisor at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA), Egypt. He monitors supporting young researchers programs through the BA Research Grants Program for post-doctoral researchers, in addition to a series of events he initiated aiming at researchers capacity building in science, technology & education. Another important role is networking Arab scientists and researchers through the hosted Arab Regional Office of The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS). He is also a Professor at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Arab Academy for Science and Technology in Alexandria.

 

He received his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Univ. of Alexandria and his MSc. and DSc. in Electrical Engineering from the George Washington Univ., Washington D.C., USA. He is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE). El-Faham is author/co-author of a number of publications.

 

Since 2012 he has been on a number of committees of the National Academy of Sciences, currently he is a committee member of Teaching Responsible Science in Egypt.  In 2014, was a committee member of the 2nd MENA Education Institute on Responsible Science took place in Italy. In 2013, was a committee member of Education Institute on Responsible Science, took place in Malaysia, and in 2012, committee member of the Educational Institute for Responsible Research on Infectious Diseases: Ensuring Safe Science in the 21st Century, took place in Jordon.
