Dr Basheti, the Dean of Pharmacy, was assigned this year as the ASU President Assistant for international relations considering her great role in building the University’s international relations and active collaborations.  She is an Honorary Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Sydney, and the Head of the Pharmaceutical Care Unit at Ibn AlHaitham Hospital (one of the largest private hospitals in Jordan, and belongs to ASU).

She has more than 70 conference presentations, over 65 publications in respected International Journals, a reviewer to numerous prestigious international journals and a supervisor/co-supervisor to more than 15 PhD and master students, from both Jordan and Australia.

She specializes in exploring various educational methods to maximise the effectiveness of pharmacy undergraduate education and has published many papers in the American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education in this regard, in addition to two book chapters. She is also a well-known researcher in asthma management, working in collaboration with researchers from the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research (University of Sydney). She has numerous publications sighted in International Therapeutic Guidelines such as GINA (Global Initiative for Asthma) and the NHLBI (National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute).

Dr. Basheti was honored this year during the Jordanian Women in Health Professions Conference, in recognition of her leadership and distinction. She won many prizes, last of which was the Prestigious Mango Award for The Distinguished Women Researcher in Jordan
