Professor Ranjini Bandyopadhyay works on the structure, dynamics, rheology and stability of soft materials at the Raman Research Institute, Bangalore, India, where she heads the Light Scattering and Rheology laboratory. She is a founder-member of the Gobal Young Academy and a member of the Committee for the Freedom and Responsibility in the Conduct of Science, International Council of Science. She actively participates in issues related to science education and women in science.
