Shadi Awwad has previously worked in national policy and organizational development at the Royal Hashemite Court of Jordan under the Office of the Secretary General, and business development within the private sector.

Joining Elsevier in 2014, Shadi is the regional expert managing Elsevier’s Research Intelligence portfolio in the Middle East, Turkey, Central Asia and Ukraine. He also has a diverse heritage and cultural background, and has an educational background in Chemistry and Health Policy & Research from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities.
