         Specializing in water/environment with extensive development expertise in Palestine with a long track record in implementing projects in water, public health, and environment through both international and national agencies. Experience gained working on multi-lateral (regional) projects: Coordination of various donor’s activities, management under “uncertain” conditions, identification, planning and formulation of new initiatives, while promoting regional training and capacity building programs.

 

          In Palestine, worked in the government, with NGOs, and in academia. Helped establish and develop the Palestinian Water Authority (PNA). Through Save the Children/USA and ASIR, implemented water and health projects in the West Bank and Gaza for over a decade. In academia, worked in Birzeit University and set-up the curriculum and started both the public health and nursing components of Al-Quds University.

          In the USA, after obtaining Ph.D. degree, worked for Shell Oil Company in Houston, Texas as a Loss Prevention Specialist. Was also an Assistant Research Professor at Rice University studying artificial recharge of aquifers.
