Dr. Obaid Mohamed Al Saidy obtained a PhD in Statistics from the University of South Carolina, USA in August 2001. He then worked as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Department of Statistics in the University of South Carolina. Dr. Obaid has published several articles in refereed journals on dose-response modelling and ranked set sampling. He worked as an assistant professor at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics in Sultan Qaboos between 2002 and 2008 before he became the Dean of the Higher College of Technology, Oman. Between February 2010 and August 2011, Dr. Obaid worked as the Statistical Expert and Assistant Secretary General for Information in the Shura Council (The Parliament), Oman. Between September 2011 and August 2013, he served as the Dean of Oman Tourism College. Since September 2013, Dr. Obaid has been working as the Director of the Research Programs Department in the Research Council of Oman.
