Ektimal Al-Nemri has been working as an evaluation officer at the Preparatory Commission for the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) since November 2012. From 2008-2012, she held the position of Chief of the Radiation Measurements and Analysis Section at the Jordan Nuclear Regulatory Commission (JNRC). Prior to this, she served at the Jordan Atomic Energy Commission (JAEC) for more than five years in the area of nuclear analytical techniques.

Ektimal has an advanced university degree in nuclear physics. She received an honour award from the Jordan University of Science and Technology, as she ranked first in her area of academic study.  She has conducted several research projects and published scientific papers in the field of environmental radiation monitoring and early warning networks.

Ektimal is dedicated to the crucial mission of ensuring the peaceful use of nuclear energy and preventing nuclear proliferation. She is an active member of the International Atomic Energy Agency Women in Nuclear (IAEA WiN) and the United Nations Evaluation Group (UNEG).
