ames M 'Jim" Welch

Jim Welch is the executive director of the Elizabeth R Griffin Foundation, a US-based non-profit organization that focuses on biological risk management in fostering global health security. Educated at East Tennessee State University and the University of Tennessee, Jim serves as a non-government representative to the Global Health Security Agenda Steering Group, as a member of the Global Health Security Agenda Consortium and the Joint External Evaluation Alliance. He has served on the advisory board of the National Biosafety and Biocontainment Training program at the National Institutes of Health, the board of directors of the International Federation of Biosafety Associations, as a member of the Law Enforcement and Veterinary International Conference at INTERPOL and as an external advisor for the Duke Infectious Disease Response Training Program. He has been a key speaker and panelist at numerous professional conferences, seminars, forums, universities and private companies around the world.
