At only 28 years of age, Sadeem Qdaisat is a young Jordanian scientist whose research in cytogenetics and molecular genetics is already attracting attention worldwide. In 2013 he received the National Student Honor Award from the American Society for Clinical Pathology, and his project on bone marrow cultures in Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia won the MD Anderson Cancer Center Alumni and Faculty Association Award in Clinical Laboratory Cytological Science. Sadeem’s years of experience guided him in 2016 to invent GenomiQ; Microscopic slides preparation system for cancer patients genetic testing. He was titled the “Arabs best Inventor 2016” through Stars of Science program / Qatar Foundation, hence, GenomiQ is currently being developed in Germany.

Qdaisat clinical work and research participation took place at numerous world-renowned institutions including UT MD Anderson Cancer Center, Mayo Clinic School of Medicine, University of Chicago Medical Center, Baylor College of Medicine, in the US, King Hussein Cancer Center in Jordan, and HMC, SIDRA in Qatar, where he was involved in multiple ground-breaking research studies ranging from working on non-invasive prenatal testing looking for fetal cells in maternal circulation, as well as attempting to recover rare Circulating Tumor Cells from cancer patients’ blood. Sadeem’s current focus as Clinical Cytogeneticist Scientist is in early detection and treatment of “untreatable/hard to treat” cancers.
