Kumie Inose
Professor of Department of English Literature and Language at Konan University.
After she completed a doctorate degree in history of Europe and America at Kyoto University, she has worked at Otemon Gakuin University (1988-1991), and Konan University (April 1991-).
She specializes in modem British history and seeks to develop new analyses of the British Empire through an interdisciplinary approach that integrates cultural, social and intellectual history, postcolonial and gender studies.
She has been a vice president of Science Council of Japan from October 2014 to September 2017.
She is also a member of the Committee on Freedom and Responsibility in the conduct of Science(CFRS) of ICSU.
