Dr. Eyad Hamad

Dr Hamad is Vice Dean and Associate Professor in Biomedical Engineering at the German Jordanian University, which is modeled on the German universities of applied sciences, characterized by their focus on putting knowledge into practice and on promoting knowledge transfer.
He completed his PhD in 2011 at the Nanotechnology and Integrated Bioengineering Centre (NIBEC) at the University of Ulster, researching the impedimetric sensor for label-free point-of-care immunoassay cardiac marker systems as Laboratory-on-a-Chip devices in the field of Nanotechnology.
Dr. Hamad received Marie Curie Early Stage Training Fellowship to conduct his PhD as a collaboration project between the University of Ulster, UK and INSA-Lyon, France.
He has special interest in MEMS techniques, Lab-on-a-Chip, Point-of-Care systems, Semiconductor fabrications, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, Microfluidics and Neural Network and Bioinformatics. Dr. Hamad is a member of several associations such as Jordan Engineers Association (JEA), Jordan, Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), UK and Verein Deutscher Ingenieure (VDI), Germany.
