Dr.Demberel Shirchin is a professor Veterinary medicine at the Mongolian University of Live Sciences (MULS) in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia and Project Director of LAB research Institute of Veterinary medicine. He has a veterinary master‘s and doctorate degree from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, science  doctor from Mongolian Academy of Sciences.  He research field is focused on growth physiology, digestive pathologies of young animals and especially the study of beneficial microorganisms and their application. He studied the micro flora in traditional fermented milk products Mongolia and probiotics from Lactic Acid Bacteria. In the addition to research activities Dr.Demberel  Shirchin was a scientific secretary in the Council of Agricultural Science (1987-1990), Vice President of the MULS, Chairman the Council of Agricultural Science (2003-2009), director of the Innovation and Technology transfer Center (2010-2013). Dr.Demberel  Shirchin is one of founders of   the Asian Federation of Societies  for Lactic Acid Bacteria (AFSLAB) and is the country representative this Federation.
