Worked on several major scientific areas in Palestine, including developing college level lab medicine programs and establishing agricultural research centers, introduction of economically feasible plant and animal species (as jojoba and the ASSAF sheep hybrid), olive oil quality/grading, water resources utilization in agriculture, food security issues, introduction of thyme cultivation in Palestine and Jordan and the SESAME/synchrotron. Established ASIR in 1981. Established for the Palestinian Authority the National Scientific Center for Applied Research and the National Agri Research Center. Dean and Prof of College of Health Sciences of Al-Quds University. Sent by Decree of His Majesty King Hussein from Yarmouk Univ to Birzeit Univ to establish science programs.

In USA, basic research and publications in fields of protein purification and crystallization and characterization of enzymes. Was Head of Hematology Research at Univ of Texas Medical School Houston and Prof of UT Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences – and Univ of Miami School of Medicine. Won a large NIH grant on platelet aggregation and thrombosis.
