Dr. Alzoubi graduated with a bachelor in Pharmacy from Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) in 2001. In 2005, he obtained his PhD degree in Pharmacology from the University of Houston, Texas, USA. He is now the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at JUST. Dr. Alzoubi has published over 200 publications in distinguished international journals or conferences. He has an h-index of 27 (Scopus, 2017), which is the highest among researchers in Jordan in the fields of Pharmacy/Pharmacology. Dr Alzoubi has been awarded several national and international research and education excellence prizes, e.g. the Khalifah Award for Education (an international award), Distinguished University Professor in the Field of Scientific Research, UAE. Dr. Alzoubi is interested in investigating new agent for the treatment of neurogenic hypertension, disease-induced memory impairment, and the genotoxicity of certain medications. Recently, he has been in clinical/pharmacogenitcs studies within the health setting of the Arab world. He is also interested in characterizing the harmful effects of waterpipe tobacco smoking, and its impact on local population. He has PI-ed or Co-PI-ed over 60 research grants with success, and published from every one of them. Dr. Alzoubi is currently the Jordan/MENA director for The Research Ethics Education Program in Jordan, a Joint fellowship program in collaboration with the University of Califorina at San Diego/USA.
