I am an associate professor of Environmental Sciences and Management at Dept. of Earth and Environmental Sciences in Yarmouk University (YU), Jordan. I joined YU in Feb. 2009 following my graduation from University of Nevada, Reno, USA in Dec. 2008 with a Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Health. I earned a master's degree in Environmental Engineering from Hamburg-Harburg University of Technology, Germany in 2002.

Being a graduate of both American and German universities, I especially possess solid practical and technical knowledge in the field of environment. With additional eight years at YU and other universities in Jordan, I developed a rich teaching experience in graduate and undergraduate courses and advanced research experience and supervised graduate students' thesis research.

I have a proven track record in research with over 25 articles (largely published in ISI journals) (from 2009-2017, with an average of 3 articles per year) in interdisciplinary environmental topics and others were published in conference proceedings.

Also, I have a new patent entitled "Nitrogen Fixation by Titanium Dioxide" which has been successfully granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office in 2015. This patent has an important implication for generating nitrate (fertilizer) by utilizing heat and/or sunlight and a recyclable TiO2 semiconductor, in a sustainable manner.
