Professor Shtaywy S. Abdalla Abbadi

Professor Abbadi earned his first degree in Biological Sciences from the college of Education at the University of Baghdad in 1972. He later earned M. Sc. in Physiology from the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Jordan where he was granted a scholarship to obtain Ph.D. in Physiology from the renowned University of Wisconsin, Madison in the United States of America in 1984. He started his professorship at the University of Jordan where he taught undergraduate and graduate students Physiology and Endocrinology courses, conducted research, and supervised over 30 graduate students for M.Sc. and Ph.D. levels. Besides, Professor Abbadi has published over 45 research papers in well-reputed international journals and served  in many administrative positions at the University of Jordan, including the position of Vice President for Administration and Finance and the position of the Provost. Since 2014, he was selected to the position of President of Tafila Technical University. His interest now is improving the methods of instruction and training for the university students, and lobbying faculty and staff to dedicate more time and effort to enhance the learning outcomes of the university.
