Rachel Mason is Associate Director at science made simple - an award-winning science communication company based in the UK. Alongside her responsibilities to develop the company's international profile, researcher training service and grant-funded project work, she is science made simple's project manager for the EU Horizon 2020 project: PERFORM. http://www.perform-research.eu/
With an MSc in Science Communication from the University of Glamorgan and a BSc in Biology and Psychology from Keele University she has worked in a wide range of UK organisations dedicated to public engagement with the sciences. Her work has taken her from press office work to Theatre in Education performance, international exhibition project management and science centre operation. She is an active participant in UK networks supporting professional development for science communicators and is a general committee member and branch chair for the British Science Association.
When not in the office, Rachel likes to go wild swimming in North Wales; she competes - when the mood takes her - in sprint triathlons.
