Professor Hasan Salah Dweik  currently the executive vice president of al-quds university in palestine ,a graduate of aston university in Birmingham england where he got both the Masters degree in 1979 and the PhD in polymer chemistry and technology in the year 1983 . Since his return to palestine he worked at Al-Quds university started as the head of the dept of chemistry and chemical technology between the years 1983-1990, then in the 1990-1991  Dr. Dweik spent a year at Akron university USA  ,institute of polymer science as a fulbright scholar , ,he came back to palestine and assumed high level academic positions at Al-Quds university ,he became the Dean of the faculty of science and technology during the years 2001-2003 ,and then the acting president of the university 2004-2005 ,and then the executive vice president between the years 2005-2012 ,then the vice president for academic affairs and the vice president for science and society and then the vice president for communications and development ,these positions were during the period 2012-2016 , again currently he is the Executive Vice President .Professor Dweik participated in more than 110 international meetings , conferences and seminars .At al-quds university he was the creater of the first science museum ever in palestine and the first mathematics museum in the arab world  .Prof dweik is a member of the CFRS at the international organization ICSU , Prof Dweik devoted a lot of his time for science diplomacy .
