Dr. George Sakellaris is the CEO of the Biotech Company Bionix Ltd. Based in Czech Republic. The company is focusing in Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cells Research also providing CRO Services in Clinical Trials. Previously Dr. Sakellaris was the head of International Cooperation at the Institute of Experimental Medicine of the Czech Academy of Sciences. In the past he was Resaech Director at the Institute of Biotechnology of the National Research Foundation  in Greece.

Dr. Sakellaris has been an appointed member as an expert or adviser in multiple committees and bodies internationally: Adisory committee in the European Parlament, GMO panel at the EFSA, EU-US Task Force on Biotechnology, Public Resaerch and Regulation Initiative (PRRI), European Federation of Biotechnology, Task Groups of Public Perception and of Bioeconomy.

He has been the representative of Greece in EuropaBio while he currently represents Greece in the Inetrantioanl Council of Biotechnology Associations (ICBA). 

He is the founder of the NG Platform "Bioeconomy in Greece". He is member of the "Bioeconomy Lab" and an external advisor in the University of South Bohemia in Czech Republic.

Dr. Sakellaris is the author of more than 60 scientific papers, while he frequently contribute as an invited speaker in International Conventions Fora and Congresses.
