Dr. Sacahui is a professor in Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala. He obtained his Ph.D. in astronomy at UNAM México, and did postdoctoral research at INPE Brazil. He works mainly on Gamma Ray astronomy of extragalactical sources. He is a member of the Science Academy of Guatemala, member of the Phisics society of Guatemala, the Asteroid Day regional coordinator for Guatemala as well as the national contact of the Outreach office of the International Astronomical Union.
