Ehsan Masood is a Knight Science Journalism Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for the academic year 2017/18. For the previous eight years he was the editor of the global science policy news and funding service, Research Professional (known also as Research Fortnight). Ehsan is also a tutor in science and innovation policy at Imperial College London. He has worked as a writer and editor at Nature and New Scientist and has made documentaries for BBC radio include Science: Right or Left, which explores the reasons why centre-right politicians are turning away from the scientific consensus. Ehsan's books include The Great Invention: The Story of GDP and the Making and Unmaking of the Modern World (Pegasus, 2016) and Science and Islam: A History (Icon Books, 2017).
