Nazek El-Atab-Lebanese scientist in the field of Microsystems engineering. She is a Post-Doctoral researcher at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, Saudi Arabia. She obtained her PhD in Interdisciplinary Engineering in 2017 from Masdar Institute of Science and Technology, Abu Dhabi, UAE. During her PhD studies, she worked as a Visiting Research Scientist at Stanford University, CA, USA. Her PhD thesis, funded by the Office of Naval Research Global, focused on the growth of nanomaterials using the atomic layer deposition system for low-power memory applications.

El-Atab has received several awards for her research, including the 2015 For Women in Science Middle East Fellowship by L’Oreal-UNESCO, Best Paper Award in the Micro/Nano-systems section at the UAEGSRC 2016 conference, 2016 IEEE Nanotechnology Conference Student Travel Award in Japan and the 2017 International Rising Talents Award by L’Oreal-UNESCO. She is also a six-time recipient of the Merit-Based Hariri Foundation Scholarship and the Masdar Institute Fellowships for M.Sc. and PhD studies. She has published over 30 papers in international journals and conference proceedings, and a book chapter. She is a member of IEEE, Electrochemical Society, and Materials Research Society. El-Atab also serves as a reviewer for several scientific journals including Applied Physics Letters, Physica Status Solidi and the Institute of Physics Nanotechnology.
