Aftab Ahmad completed his BSc (Hons) in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics with distinction from University of the Punjab, PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology from same university and Post Doc in Tissue Engineering from NAIST, Japan. Aftab has served as President of Sciforum Pakistan from 2006-10. He is also founder and President of Asia’s first National Young Academy entitled “National Academy of Young Scientists (NAYS). NAYS is connected to more than 50,000 young scientists of Pakistan and working on more than 15 programs to promote education, health, science and technology. He is also member of Global Young Academy (GYA) and young scientist member of World Economic Forum (WEF). In addition, Aftab is also Chairman of Islamic World Young Scientists Academy (IYSA). Aftab Ahmad is founder of Pakistan Stem Cell Society (PSCS) and Pakistan Aging Research Society (PARS). He has also won many national and international awards. Aftab has published over 60 research articles and also 4 books in local language for public awareness.
