Dr Alnemrat earned his BA and MSci in applied Physics from Jordan University of Science and Technology and PhD in condensed matter theory from New Mexico State University, US. He then held a four year National Research Council Fellowship at Naval Postgraduate School (NPS). Whilst at NPS, his research uses state-of-the-art simulation techniques to explore and predict material properties under a wide range of thermodynamic conditions and he supervised several graduate students on multiple research projects.

Dr. Alnemrat areas of expertise include condensed matter physics and computational materials science. His research focuses on computational studies of complex nanoscale systems such as atomic clusters and nanocrystals, nanotubes and nanowires. His simulations employ a wide range of computational techniques with the emphasis on ab initio molecular dynamics methods.
