Dr. Saqer Abdel-Rahim received  the M.Sc degree in Theory and Applications of Computation  from Loughborough University of Technology, UK , 1977, and received the PH.D degree in Computer Science from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, UK,1991.

He started his career at  the IT Centre of the Royal Scientific  Society (RSS) of Jordan in 1978. In addition he worked as an instructor at Princess Sumaya College for Informatics  (1978 – 1988).

Dr. Abdel –Rahim  joined Princess Sumaya University for Technology

since its establishment in 1991 as part  time lecturer. Since 1993, he worked as director of the Information Technology Centre of the RSS till  March 2009. During that period he was in charge of several IT  large projects mostly for public institutions and more than 14 EU funded projects in E-Commerce, SME’ s applications, high performance computations and cultural heritage. Dr. Abdel-Rahim joined PSUT as full time assistant professor since April 2009. Main research interests include performance modeling, quality assurance and Information systems design.
