An Ha Truong is a second year Ph.D. student at Clean Energy and Sustainable Development Laboratory – University of Science and Technology of Hanoi. Her PhD research is on the costs and benefits of co-firing biomass with coal in Vietnamese power plants. Her research interest includes energy and environmental economics and sustainable development. She is also working on a joint project between International Institute for Advance Systems Analysis (IIASA) – Austria and Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology on Air Quality Management in Vietnam using GAINS (Greenhouse Gas - Air Pollution Interactions and Synergies) model developed by IIASA. She participated in the 40th Young Scientist Summer Program organized by IIASA in 2017.

An Ha Truong obtained a Master in Renewable Energy at the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi in 2015, graduating valedictorian of her intake. She holds a Bachelor Degree in Biochemistry from College of Sciences – Vietnam National University in 2009.
